Important Announcement!

I have wanted to launch a paid Substack for a while now for a number of reasons. Firstly because I have had a few people over there who are really interested in it. Secondly just because I want to do more blog-style writing, and Substack is the best place to do that. And thirdly (and perhaps most excitingly) because I am working on pitching a book at the moment and it would look pretty good to publishers to have a fair amount of paid Substack subscribers when I submit it (I've been told that is a real draw for publishers at the moment).

The reason I wanted to talk to you all first is because I wanted to reassure you that anyone paying on or above the price of a Substack subscription here will obviously gain access to everything on my paid Substack, which I will upload separately here. So if you are in a $10 or above tier here, first thank you so much! And secondly please do not subscribe to my Substack as you will be double-paying for the same content! All reading group content, exclusive blog posts, and more will be posted here for you in full.

Apart from that I just wanted to thank you all for your continued support. Putting your faith in YouTube is a little like building your house upon the sand, but you guys really allow me to sleep at night when the channel is going through a lull.

Omg, I'm so excited to read it. I hope u put some personal perspectives, I would love to know how your mind works. I would read anything at this point, I'm in love with word writing style, it is pretty sofisticated.

On the topic of the debut of your first book, I have some very sincere thoughts I want to share. I’ve actually been carrying these thoughts for a while now, ever since you first mentioned the idea in passing during an interview. I have a lot of trust and respect for you, and a lot of confidence in both your abilities and your judgment. But from the depth of my heart, I still want to say this: please hold yourself to the highest possible standard you can. Don’t rush. Don’t compromise. Don’t let external pressure force you into anything that doesn’t feel fully true to your voice and your vision. I want it to be something you can be proud of not just now, but twenty years from now. Ideally, I hope it will be something that’s still valuable even long after you’re gone. I know you’re still young, and this is only the first one. I’m sure many more will come. But the first sets a tone. It becomes part of your legacy, even if your later work evolves or surpasses it. I apologize if this adds too much pressure. Please take it only as a form of tough love. I only say it because I care, and because I genuinely believe you have something important to offer the world. And I want your first book to do justice to the depth and clarity I know you’re capable of.
