The TAG Story...

But it needs to be for the VN: completely written or at least the whole thing planned, before I start coding and rendering the game. That's my main focus now. I have a sequential list of all events that happen in chapter 1 (comparable to chapters 1 and 2 in the text story), chapter 2 and most of chapter 3 so far. I'm also writing a summary of the entire story start to finish. That means not just that I am summarizing what I've already written, but actually determining the unwritten part of the story as I summarize.
Sounds crazy, but this is actually working out well. Even at this accelerated writing speed, churning out not all the story details but a synopsis, the story is unfolding for me in what I think will make for a very exciting game. We've got new characters coming in, new revelations, and events are unfolding at what will be a faster pace than they would have in the novel version. I have to keep it exciting, keep things happening, to keep the players' (you guys') interest.
I hope to have this all (meaning the summary of the whole story) determined by the end of the day tomorrow. Thursday I drive to Las Vegas for a 3-day weekend event related to how I make money for normal life (call it my day job). I won't have my super desktop PC which I use for Daz Studio scene creation and rendering, so in the hotel at night I'll be planning out all the game's decision branches, which determine the game variables I need to code when I start focusing on that. So the idea is that this Monday I'll be able to start building and rendering scenes for chapter 1.
