Afternoon everyone!! Hope everyone's well.

Took screenshots of some sketching I've done this week. One thing I constantly struggle with is making really expressive faces. Whether it's from a fear of making a character look "ugly" or keeping them on model I never seem to push them enough.

For example the "Welcome" illustration I made for Patreon. I clearly didn't convey what I wanted for Bang and even Lim. Bang doesn't read as "shocked" or "scared" as I would have liked. My grandson Chips(Go check him out and say Woah!) pointed this out and gave these old bones some pointers and suggested I spend some time with Tom and Jerry.

First sketches were some attempts to improve on Bang and Lim's faces from the previous illustration and some guest characters. They're definitely much better I think.

The next set was just me figuring out how Lim's hair looks from behind. Also butt because...yes. The character next to her is one I've been thinking about making for a little while. Kind of want some sort of vintage Sakura(Street Fighter) feel to her but this was mostly a warm up doodle for work.

The next two are commissions I have on queue at the moment. Typically I take these sketches and just clean them up instead of doing traditional line art. It's a process that feels more natural to me but I've been trying to find a brush that's slightly cleaner.

Lately I've been making a habit to try and convey sexual acts more powerfully. I feel like my pieces can use a boost to really get viewers hot and ready. Expressions being a big part of that I spent some time getting these right. At first I had the chick in control with a big ol smile because who wouldn't pounding that ass? The result is...she looks psychotic. Didn't seem to fit the characters and just didn't look hot. I pulled it back and made her really enjoy herself instead of looking like she just dug up a fresh corpse to fuck. Looking at it I think I could work on kissing scene a bit more. Sleeve looks kind of meh.
