[Blog] AIイラスト2周年記念日 | 2nd Anniversary of My AI Art Journey

私がXでAIイラストを投稿し始めたのは、2023年5月14日。
つまり本日で、投稿開始から2周年を迎えることができました！やったー！
長く続けてこられたのは、応援してくださったフォロワーの皆さん、そして今見てくださっている会員の皆さまのおかげです。
本当に、いつもありがとうございます。

2023年5月当時の『NIKKE』は、伝説の「OVER ZONE」が終わり、「コインラッシュ」のイベントでブラン＆ノワールが実装された頃でした。
私もどっぷりNIKKEにハマっていて、イベントの盛り上がりはまさに最高潮。
華やかなコインラッシュに、かわいい双子のバニーが実装されて——
「これはもう、いろんなニケにバニー衣装を着せるしかない！」
という一心でAIを回し、毎日のようにバニーガールを投稿していたのが始まりでした。

当時はまだAI画像生成も未成熟で、キャラクターの再現がうまくいかないときは手描きで何とか仕上げたりして、何時間もかけて理想のバニーを作っていました。
今でも「この一枚をどうやって作ったか」を覚えているくらい、濃密な時間でした。

さて、添付した画像は、推しキャラのヘルムさんのバニーガール姿です。
2枚目は、ちょうど2年前に初めて投稿した一枚。
同じ構図で再現してみたので、見比べていただければ絵柄がどれだけ変わったか、よく分かると思います。
AIといえども、昔の絵をお見せするのはちょっと恥ずかしいですが、2年間でここまでクオリティが上がったんだなと思ってもらえたら嬉しいです。

AI技術の進化はまだまだ続いていて、今年中には少しずつ動かせるようになるはずです。
そういった新しい表現にも注目してもらえたら、さらに楽しんでいただけると思います。

It was on May 14th, 2023, that I started posting AI-generated illustrations on X.
Which means—today marks the second anniversary of that journey! Yay!
I’ve been able to keep going without any long breaks thanks to all the wonderful followers who supported me, and to you, my current members.
Thank you so much for always being there.

Back in May 2023, NIKKE had just wrapped up the legendary OVER ZONE event, and the Coin Rush event had begun, introducing Blanc and Noir.
It was a time when I was completely hooked on NIKKE, right in the middle of all the hype.
The glitzy Coin Rush event dropped those adorable bunny twins, and I thought:
“This calls for putting every NIKKE girl in a bunny outfit!”
That’s how it all started—I fired up the AI and began posting bunny girls every day.

At the time, AI image generation was still in its early stages.
When the character likeness didn’t come out right, I’d fix it by hand—spending hours to shape the bunny look I had in mind.
Even now, I still remember exactly how I made each image—those were intense and creative moments.

The image I’ve attached today shows my favorite character, Helm, in a bunny girl outfit.
The second image is actually the very first bunny illustration I ever posted—two years ago today.
I intentionally used the same pose so you can directly compare them and see how much my style has evolved.
Even though it’s a little embarrassing to show my older AI works, I’d be glad if you feel that the quality has really improved over these two years.

AI continues to evolve, and I believe we’ll start seeing more animated outputs later this year.
I hope you’ll enjoy those new technologies as well—they’re going to open up even more creative possibilities.
