Contract Terms Survey & Interview Poll

Hello Patrons! Two quick updates for you tonight. First, we've started working on the contract terms survey, and we want your thoughts. What information would you like to see in the report? Let us know in the comments or via message this week. Our plan is to send out the survey early next week. And second, thank you to our $5-and-up Patrons for voting on who we should talk to first for our designer and publisher interview series. The results are in, and we'll be talking to Adam McIver, the designer of Coin Age, and Chris Kirkman of Dice Hate Me Games! When we're done, you'll be the first to read the interviews! Thanks again for your support! ~ Chris & Suzanne

Thanks, Jeff. Added these to our list of considerations!

Contracts and terms between designers and artists for art work, licensing or otherwise Contracts and terms between designers and contributors for profit sharing in a self-publishing (e.g. Kickstarter) scenario Transitioning terms that have been established between a designer and a contributor (artist) on a prototype to a 3rd party publisher in a game licensing scenario

Now THAT is an interesting idea. Definitely beyond the scope of the survey, but down the line...

Okay, this goes beyond a survey, but a very useful resource to develop *based* on the survey would be a set a site like https://www.docracy.com/ but specifically for the hobby game world. I'm thinking a drag-drop clause builder, with text fields to fill in, like the ones on docracy. Fancy! The technical site aside, having the text fields is easy, and would still be remarkably useful.
