Just a clarification β Supporters Shield is awarded to the top side with the most points at the end of the season, league-wide (like the European league championship model); and MLS Cup is the end of season playoff tournament winner. Historically both are coveted, but to win MLS Cup is considered to have βwon the league.β A little confusing at first, but itβs kind of fun to have two paths to a trophy. Also very rarely has the team who wins the Supporters Shield done the double and also won MLS Cup. I canβt remember the last time it happened.

2024-09-20 02:56:25 +0000 UTCWas at the game (wife and I are season ticket holders) and the atmosphere was electric. Closest any of the rivalry games have come to matching the very first one. And yeah, I also don't really understand why Riqui is here at the Galaxy. I am just enjoying the years I've got to watch him play. I'm sure he will back in Europe soon.
