Wesley and I were talking about this the other day how in US if you need 3 bedrooms youβre forced to get a much larger square footage house because they just donβt make them smaller. We often have the same number of bedrooms as the UK, but each room is significantly larger. A lot of houses also have 2 living rooms or 2 dining areas which is just not a good use of space. I would guess NYC would be much more comparable to London as far as housing size.

UK homes are SMALL compared to y'alls and it's rare to own a home and VERY rare to own your "own" home... I'll explain: Most UK homes are attached to other UK homes, that meaning you will see 1 big brick house which gets divided into 3 homes (3 seperate driveways, front doors, etc, but they are connected). Having your own isolated house just isn't common here at all. Even in poorer areas in the US it can still be commonplace for homes to have their own land area. I think another final note to remember is we are FAR more heavily/densely populated than y'all. You have 42x our land mass, but only 6x our population, we literally cram our people into smaller spaces
