Well, i can understand since it is a gag on japanese words. Yuri calls Anya Chihuahua girl because earlier, when he said "Chi wa chikara!" which means "Knowledge is power" and what Anya repeated back to him, clearly misunderstanding what he said as "Chiwawa chikara?" which would be "Chihuahua power?". This part was clearly not easy to translate without that context to an english audience, so they had translated what Anya repeated back to him as "No leash is power?". His nickname for Anya is basically a callback to Anya's "stupidity" for not understanding that phrase. So they are just sticking to their previous localization, given the context. I personally think that they actually did a great job here.

2025-12-27 13:40:30 +0000 UTCI actually don't understand what happened throught the head of the translator at crunchyroll to translate "chihuahua musume" as "leash girl". Just write "chihuahua girl". This is at least the second time they have done this.
