Whisky storage: keep it out of sunlight, preferably in the dark. If possible: keep the temperature mild, stable. Most importantly: whisky reacts with oxygen, so more oxygen in a bottle will change the taste of your whisky, usually not for the better. So once it's half empty, you should not try to keep it for too long. So that expensive, fancy whisky you only want to drink on special occasions? Don't save it for too long or you will just lose out on drinking it at its best.
