Comments

So glad they covered Ghostwatch, it is somewhat infamous here in the UK. When it was first broadcasted the published info to the TV guides and continuity announcements prior to its airing both encouraged the "reality" of the program. "Inside number 9" (Another program Alex might be interested in) recently pulled off a similar stunt. The personalities chosen like Craig Charles were also realistic choices one would expect for a "live special" in this vein. The whole presentation is very similar to actual real live outside broadcasts that would occassionally air at the time. I think the slow start was also actually the key to the effect, not having anything ghostly for so long encourages the idea of a real live shoot finding nothing. No entertainment program would do so little for so long...or would it? Also have to absolutely agree with alex, that shot with the window is when the creepy really arrives!
