Schedule for the Week of 02/10/2025

The Super Bowl is done and we chat about it on this week’s Ramblecast. I’m mostly there for the snacks and the ‘event’ more than the game itself but now my kids usually want to watch so I pay a bit more attention. Luckily, football is one of those sports that I know about and can follow and explain to other people, so that also makes it more fun. Now, I can’t explain and don’t follow all the things surrounding the actual game, but that’s why I get to ask Alex about them. You know, the drama… the “why is this a big deal?” questions, the juicy stuff. Overall though, it seemed to be an OK game, had infuriating commercials, and I ate a pretty good chicken parm.

This week the world’s greatest detective agency (Abby and Vinny) jump back into The Roottrees! I’m really enjoying puzzling this out with Abby, and I’m very curious if we are nearing the end. On Thursday Brad and I are back for even MORE puzzling in We Were Here Together, but then we’re taking a bit of a puzzle break and doing a Grab Bag on Friday instead of more X Files. We’ll be back with more X Files in the future, but we want to dabble in some of the recent releases.

Over in Podcast Land we’ve got Boiler Room on the Watchcast with special guest Jeff Bakalar! On the Ramblecast you can hear us chat about the Big Game and all the trappings around that, and then we’ve got your regularly scheduled NXL podcast in the middle of the week. Puzzles, games, and puzzling games are all here!
