Schedule for the Week of 04/28/2025

One of the fun things about having kids that enjoy video games is when they pick up a game that you enjoyed but maybe put down for one reason or another. It has happened a few times with me, but most recently my son started playing Hollow Knight, which has led to me booting up my old save and playing along. It’s a lot of fun because my save left off right about where he was so we are now at similar spots and able to watch each other take on the same bosses, etc. This is also a product of him no longer needing to pass me the controller for “the hard stuff”, so if I want to play I have to play the dang thing myself! We’ll see if I can keep up. I have too many dangling game threads at this point. Avowed, Assassin’s Creed, and I’d really like to spend some time with Clair Obscur and South of Midnight at some point.

For streams this week Brad, Will, and I are looking to play some of the Marathon Alpha on Monday. Brad is in it already, so we’ll at least show some of it but might transition into more Void Crew if the rest of us don’t get invite codes by the time we stream. On Tuesday, Abby is joining us for more Alex Hill and maybe even more Lost Records if we wrap things up. Then on Friday, fingers crossed, Brad is going into VR for some Hitman! He has potential jury duty, so things might change, but here’s hoping!

We’ve got The Watchcast this week with Exit Through the Gift Shop, which makes us question the very nature of art, or at least the very nature of this film about art. We’ve also got the Ramblecast and Podcast, as usual, and if you missed it there’s a new Never Been a Better Podcast up on the Patreon from Friday! We should also have a new Planorama this Friday, if I can get that turned around quickly after we record, so keep an eye out!
