Schedule for the Week of 09/09/2024

At the time of writing, Sony has just announced a nine – count them, NINE – minute “technical presentation” by Mark Cerny for Tuesday morning at 11AM Eastern. Is this it? The PlayStation 5 Professional?! Are we mere hours away from a new console announcement? Well, fine, “new console” may be a bit of a stretch, but I for one will be glad if we can stop trading in rumors and scuttlebutt and just get the real story straight from Sony.

Vinny’s out the first half of this week seeing an unreleased video game in an exotic locale (you won’t believe which game and which locale!), but Alex and I will be here holding things down with the content you’ll find below, until we’re all back in front of computers again. I’ve also got a whole stack of games to keep me busy, both released and un-, and despite the conventional wisdom about 2024 having no games, it’s starting to feel like a real release season all of a sudden. Games!
