Thanks again guys for more wonderfully entertaining gaming discourse I can clean my house to.

Yeah, been using family share in different states for a while now. Just can’t be different country

Always happy to hear Alex talk Truck Sim! Missouri is actually a cool state to drive (at least its Southern half is): between Springfield and STL you get a varied landscape of Ozark hills, weird rocks, big forests. Iowa, on the other hand…

Nick

It’s okay! Iowa is pretty bad!

For the Outlaws credit loss when you die, just go to any imperial terminal, even the tiny ones with like two guards, slice the terminal and you'll get all of it back: I had 7 grand stored that way, heh.

Steam family sharing does work outside of one house as long as you all live in the same country. I've been doing this for the last few months just fine.

Boomerang is a cable channel that plays real old cartoons from the 50’s-70’s. Our department boss usually has it on during lunch. The is another channel that plays shows like CHiPs and Gunsmoke. Can’t remember what it is called Edit: just read that Boomerang is dead and the classic TV channel might be MeTV.

Vinny I think your early access experience was so crazy because they set the requirements insanely high for the duration so that there was something to do. I believe they reworked a lot of the requirements so it shouldn't be so daunting as your early access work appears to make it.

I can confirm that at least the original Dead Rising on 360, there was an extra "infinite survival" mode where your health would slowly decay over time and had achievements for surviving 5 & 7 days in that mode (10 & 14 hours real time). It's that mode where you would remember "holding up in an office drinking OJ" Big thing I remember in that mode was it was something like it would take 20 minutes real time for the health decay to drain you from full but the Xbox 360 controllers would time out if left idle for 15 minutes, which was enough to pause the game. So the survival run was find a safe place, set the controller down, do something else, and check back in after the controller times out. When you come back, turn the controller back on, drink your OJ, and leave again.

Steam deck has a headphone jack 👊

Speaking of Noun Verber: Verber of Nouns, that reminded me of playing Magic the Gathering with friends back in high school. A friend of ours had Gravedigger in their deck and this being 2003, we were all familiar with the Dave Matthews Band song "Gravedigger." Every time they card came out, we'd race to be the first person to belt out "GRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE DIGGERRRRR, WON'T YOU DIG MY GRAVE."
