Schedule for the Week of 11/04/2024

Well, here we are! It’s mostly Fall, though I think it’s going to be decidedly un-Fall weather again soon. We’ve got the PlayStation 5 Pro launching this week, we’ve got Call of Duty and Dragon Age out, and we’ve got an historically close election coming to some kind of end here in the old United States. Now, a large portion of my brain is fixated on the latter, for better or worse, but I’m curious to put some more time into Dragon Age: The Veilguard. It’s not grabbing me early on, but there’s still plenty of room for it to do whatever it’s going to do. I’m thinking about booting up Black Ops to see if that’s doing anything fun or new that could woo me back. I’m still working through Silent Hill 2 and Life is Strange as well! Plenty to keep me busy, but honestly nothing that’s really getting my gaming motor going. I can’t tell if it’s the games or it’s me right now, but nothing is keeping my attention to the point where I can’t put it down. Yesterday, instead of picking up Dragon Age again I sorted screws… not what I would consider a crucial task, but maybe speaks to where I am currently.

And where will I be this week?! Well, on Monday Brad is out and Alex and I will be Rambling together! Then, we’re going to record the Podcast on Tuesday and the Watchcast on Wednesday (usually it’s the reverse). That means, between gettin’ my podcast gaming time and the Ramblecast edit I won’t be streaming on Monday, but Alex will be there with a stream on Tuesday before we record! I’d really like to dig in more to Life is Strange 2 to see where that’s headed. On Thursday I’ve got a chunk of time blocked out for streaming, so maybe I’ll jump back into Silent Hill 2 or Dragon Age. On Friday, all of us should be back for Friday Fun Stream, though we haven’t settled on exactly what that is yet!

Over in Podcast Land, we’re starting our journey into box office duds (well, at least at release) with Cutthroat Island over on the Watchcast. Like I mentioned up top, Alex and I will be holding down the Ramblecast this week, and then we should have everyone back for our regularly scheduled (but recorded slightly earlier) Nextlander Podcast.

It’s weird writing this today (Monday) knowing how eventful this week will be, but here we are. My seatbelt is buckled.
