Mystic Ville - 7/21/2022 DevLog - Change of Plans and also... Chapter(s)?

Heyeyeyey, everyone,  how you doin'?

A few days ago I put up an announcement to patrons, also in choco-chat on the Discord server, regarding the backgrounds and development path that we should take. Though there were only a few respondents, the others were silent and I'll take that as you agree to do plan C.

Now that's settled, this is the next announcement I talked about.

We decided to scale down the updates to try to push out the updates sooner.

What does this mean? Usually, a chapter is 40-50 minutes long, and could take 3-4 months to finish. The thought only crossed my mind but I think if I cut that 40-50 minutes duration to maybe 10-15, but push out the updates let's say... monthly, it would be a lot better, both project-planning-wise and player-wise. 

I'm also fixing the pace so that it moves quicker now since we went with Plan C. No more dilly-dallying with the navigation stuff. I will try to minimize the boring parts :) 

We'll have an easier time managing a smaller scale of to-do-list/tasks and you won't have to wait too long. 

So, from the images included in this DevLog, you see that there's also a Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 progress bar. That's because the current planned Chapter 2 has been split into 3.

The banner is also not randomly placed, the chapter's story will revolve/focus around the characters in the banner.

For the past 2 weeks, I've drawn 2 backgrounds with their time of day variations and the third one is still in progress. (The third one proved to be quite the challenge).

Next on the to-do list is a lewd scene for Chapter 2, along with 1 more background after this one. 

And of course, I made sure to put all the jokes I could in the script.

TLDR: We're going with Plan C, and we also shortened the chapters from now on to aim for quicker updates. Shorter chapters mean the project will be more manageable and also less wait time.
