I thought that I had gotten video of my adding the lightening but sadly I didn't have the file to add to this video. Basically, I'm using Fineline Masking Fluid in a fine tip squeeze bottle. It's a latex fluid that you can use for watercolor and other liquid media to block said media from being added to your working surface. Later in the video you can see that I'm using a natural rubber pick up block, the dried latex stick to the rubber and comes off nice and clean, leaving the white paper exposed. It's a simple trick with pretty cool looking results. =)
