About a year later, I get back in touch with her, and we go back to being the friends we were before and I get involved in her RPG gaming group, getting acquainted with her circle of friends. One of those friends' apartment was a default gathering location. I started hanging out there and I observe a few months later that we had really become friends rather than just friend-by-proxy by way of our mutual friend. She agreed, saying, "Yeah, I think I'll keep you." I cannot tell you the warm feeling I felt the whole drive home. It wasn't until months later that I realized I was in love with her, and several months after that she realized the same about me. :) Anyway, we'll be married 19 years in September.
