Sacred Gear Omnitrix Ch 3.

Chapter 3: The Green Light Beneath the Rubble.

-0-

Dust filled the air, thick and choking. Beneath the collapsed bridge, I lay pinned, my body aching beneath the crushing weight of stone. The fallen angel hovered above, her eyes narrowing as the dust began to swirl with a strange green glow.

Kalawarner squinted, shielding her eyes as the light grew brighter—almost blinding. The rubble trembled, cracking apart as a pulse of energy burst outward. In one loud boom, the boulders exploded into smaller chunks, flying into the air like they’d been hurled by a storm.

“What the heck is going on?” Kalawarner shouted, her voice sharp with frustration. She hadn’t expected resistance—especially not from me. Her intel had been clear: I was weak, inexperienced, unable to even awaken my sacred gear.

But her information had been wrong.

Before she could react, something blue and fast flashed before her eyes—a blur of motion that seemed to tear through the air itself. She didn’t even have time to gasp before something slammed into her mid-air, sending her flying a good distance away. She crashed into the ground hard, rolling over dirt and debris before finally coming to a painful stop.

“What… was that?” she muttered, clutching her head as she groaned in pain. The impact had left her dizzy, her body aching as if she’d been hit by a speeding truck.

When she lifted her gaze, she froze.

Standing before her was no longer a human. A blue, sleek, alien figure stood confidently, a black visor covering his eyes, and an hourglass-shaped symbol glowing green on his chest.

“Whoa… this is so cool.” I grinned, staring at my new form through alien eyes, my voice carrying a modulated echo. “Now you’re in for it, lady. Because XLR8 is gonna checkmate your silly ass! You should’ve taken that date when you had the chance.”

I cracked my clawed fingers and lowered my stance. The world around me felt different—slower. The wind tickled against my carapace, and my every move felt effortless.

Up in the sky, Kalawarner’s wings flared open as her aura surged. Her patience had run out.

“You think you’ve bested me, you filth? Learn your place!” she hissed, conjuring another spear of light—this one brighter, larger, and pulsing with rage.

She shot upward, the air rippling from the force of her wings. Hovering high, she hurled the spear downward like a bolt of divine judgment.

“Die, you maggot!”

To her, it was fast almost unavoidable. To me, it moved like it was crawling through syrup.

“Really?” I tilted my head, watching it pass harmlessly by as I side-stepped. The spear crashed into the ground, blowing up concrete in a small explosion.

Her eyes widened in disbelief. She threw another. Then another. Each light spear whistled through the air, each one missing as I danced around them, my legs blurring faster than sight.

“Stay still!” she screamed, hurling more and more, her frustration growing with each miss.

I couldn’t resist smirking. “No thanks! Even at your funeral, I wouldn’t stay still.”

She clenched her teeth, growling in fury as she continued to fire. Craters formed across the road, dust and smoke rising in every direction—but not a single attack landed.

It was time to end this.

I took a deep breath, focusing on her position above me. XLR8 might not fly, but speed wasn’t just for running. I began circling the spot below her, faster and faster, until the air started to twist. The wind rose violently, spiraling upward into a swirling column.

“What are you doing now?” Kalawarner shouted, her voice half confused, half panicked.

She didn’t get her answer until it was too late.

A tornado formed beneath her, sucking her in and spinning her helplessly. The raging winds tore through her outfit, shredding cloth to ribbons as she screamed and lost control of her flight. Within seconds, she was sent crashing to the ground in a heap. Her wings flickered out, and the dark clouds above began to fade away.

The dust settled. The fallen angel now lay completely nude on the ground, groaning weakly.

I stopped spinning and whistled softly. “Whoa, lady. Gotta admit, you’ve got a rockin’ body. 35-23-36. Perfect ten, if I do say so myself.”

I chuckled. Guess hanging around Motohama and Matsuda did teach me something, I guess those perverts really infected me with their weird powers which to be honest I wasn't proud of at all.

Spotting my bag nearby, I zipped over in a blur. The bridge collapse hadn’t destroyed it thankfully. Priorities, right? I’d thrown it away just in time. How cliche of me to save a backpack full of dirty magazines and pictures instead of my life

And, of course, my camera the gold treasure for capturing the perfect nude scenes from the girls changing rooms and their flipped skirts.

At lightning speed, I flicked it on and began snapping pictures around the fallen Kalawarner. Her unconscious form was frozen in various poses as I zipped in circles, taking shot after shot.

“Oh, Matsuda and Motohama are gonna lose their minds when they see this,” I said between laughs.

But before I could take another photo, a beeping sound interrupted me. I looked down to see the Omnitrix symbol flashing red.

“Oh, no…”

The green light dimmed, and suddenly my alien form began to fade. My carapace receded, my limbs shifted, and in a blink, I was human again—panting and sore.

“Well, that was cool while it lasted,” I said, staring at the red Omnitrix on my wrist.

A faint rustle behind me made me turn. Kalawarner, trembling and bloodied, was trying to get up. Her hair hung in messy strands, barely covering her face.

“Did… you really think… you bested me?” she muttered, her voice shaky but filled with rage.

She glared at me, her blue eyes burning with fury. “You’re going to pay for this, pervert.”

“Oh-oh…” I muttered, backing away. The Omnitrix refused to respond no matter how hard I tapped it. Just my luck—just like Ben’s old malfunctioning watch.

Kalawarner took one step toward me, summoning the faint outline of another spear. I fell backward, scrambling away as fast as I could.

But before she could finish her attack, her knees buckled. Her body trembled, and she fell face-first into the dirt, unconscious.

I exhaled loudly, wiping the sweat from my forehead. “Whew! That was close…”

I glanced at her one more time. “Guess I better make sure someone finds you before you wake up.”

Grabbing some rope from my bag, I tied her gently to a nearby post along the road—still nude, though I didn’t dare stick around to be seen with her.

“Someone else can explain this mess.”

With that, I turned and walked off into the night, exhaustion finally hitting me. Every part of me ached, but the thrill of what had happened kept my heart pounding.

When I got home, I barely had time to open the door before Grandpa greeted me with a wide grin.

“Levy! You’re back,” he said warmly, waving me over. “Guess what? I made your favorite—ramen! And since your birthday’s around the corner, I made it special.”

At the mention of ramen, my stomach practically growled. I didn’t even hesitate, dropping my bag and running to the table.

The smell hit me like heaven. I grabbed the chopsticks and started devouring the noodles with zero restraint.

“Whoa, slow down, kid! You’re gonna choke,” Grandpa laughed, handing me a cup of water.

As I gulped it down, I noticed his expression change. His eyes locked onto my wrist.

“Hey, Levy… what’s that on your hand? New watch?”

My body tensed instantly. I laughed awkwardly, scratching my head. “Yeah! Uh, it was this super mall raffle thing. Lucky winner deal, you know?”

He frowned slightly, still eyeing it. “Looks expensive. You didn’t steal money from my wallet again, did you? ’Cause if you did, say goodbye to your favorite magazine.”

He reached behind him and pulled out my porn magazine.

I froze. “H-how the hell did you—?”

He just smirked. “You really should hide things better. I also found those toys, used tissues, and—”

“Okay! Okay! Stop! I’ll do whatever you want, just stop listing them!” I pleaded, covering my ears.

His grin widened. “Good boy. You can start by washing the dishes and taking out the trash.”

Damn old man. Outsmarted again.

Just then, the doorbell rang. I jumped at the chance to escape more chores and rushed for the door.

The second I opened it, my good mood died instantly.

Standing there with that smug, annoying grin was the last person I wanted to see.

“Hi there, dweeb. Miss me?”

I groaned. “Clara…”

My cousin. The bane of my existence.

She leaned against the doorframe, smirking. “Sheesh, don’t give me that look. You act like you just saw your worst infection come to life.”

I sighed deeply, rubbing my temples. “Great. Just great. Today really couldn’t get any worse.”
