2020-06-22 04:24:28 +0000 UTCI can relate. Absolutely. My Dad made it very clear from a young age that my older brother was his favorite. The only time he showed interest in anything I did was when I fucked up. Then my little brother was born when I was 12 and I dropped to third place. I honestly can't recall anything that I did he was engaged about (in a positive way) until I gave him a grandchild.

2020-06-22 01:43:53 +0000 UTCSorry, I can't relate, personally. My parents were always interested in what I was doing and who I was seeing -- even if they didn't exactly approve. I know so many people who grew up in families like this, though; mother and father couldn't name one of their hobbies, reading preferences or friends to save their necks. Cold and distant. You nailed it, here. This is why Reggie is <i>Reggie.</i>
