Developer's Journal 4:12

Hey everybody.

I like Aghavni. As a driven, middle-class professional, she's probably the closest of the four LI's to the women I've paired best with over the years. Not as smart as Jamie, not as funny as Malena, and not as sweet as Emmeline, she flies a bit under the radar, but is nevertheless a solidly dependable character. She's a fiery but down-to-earth woman, well-acquainted with the darker side of the world but not broken by it. She's also a deeply committed, deeply passionate investigator whose hard work led to a break in a twenty year old homicide case that otherwise had no chance of ever getting solved.

In Episode 1, a flashback introduced us to Aghavni and her frustration with Rockford. For many players, her dumping the MC is an insurmountable obstacle to the two of them having a serious relationship again. But after Vega's more vivid portrayal of Rockford's shortcomings as a boyfriend, I wonder if those players are willing to be a little more understanding of Aghavni's hard choice.

At any rate, even for those who don't embrace Aghavni as a lover, she has a lot to offer Rockford as a supportive friend. Has Rockford grown enough to open up to his friends in his present crisis? Or will Aghavni find that he's the same isolated man she walked away from five years ago? Episode 4 may have some answers.

That's all for this week. Thank you for your support!

I really agree with the previous statement. As you learn more about Aghavni's thinking process it is obvious that she is not just the one who "dumped Rockford". She had very good reasons but still did not abandon him entirely. This shows a very strong character. While I do appreciate intelligence above everything else, I believe Aghavni to be the most "solid" character of all.

Interesting, and I think I agree!

I'm one of those who thinks that Aghavni's decision to dump Rockford showed sterling character... and made her more desirable, not less.
