Happy New Year + Book News

I want to wish each and every one of you a very happy New Year 2025!
Can you believe it? We're at 2025 already? Wow! Sounds more like the date of some far-off future in a sci-fi movie, right? Of course, most of the movies I watched in the 80's and 90's already had their "far-off future dates" come and go. The "future" with flying cars from Back to the Future II was way back in 2015. But hey, in any event, I hope this particular futuristic date on the calendar brings each one of you what you most need in life to become the very best version of yourselves.
Book News
On the book side of things, I have a very exciting update. On the most auspicious date of December 31st, 2024 (that's right, on New Years Eve--how's that for timing?), I finished the edits for my final draft of the new novel. And I gotta say, I think it's turned out to be a real banger.
So, that means that I'm now diving into the process of putting together my submission copies for sending it out to publishers (both a 3 chapter sample & a full-length version if they want to see more). And that involves making sure the manuscript meets their particular submission guidelines, including format specifications, a cover letter, synopses of various lengths, and anything else they might require to convince them this book is worth investing in.
Once that's all done, submissions to publishers will commence. So, fingers crossed, everybody! Wish me luck! We're in the home stretch now.
