Hey, everyone!
I know it's been radio silence on the DarkRPG project for a while, and I want to apologize for that. I'll try to fill you in some of the details below & let you know where I'm at.
The Original Plan
My original intent was to take one or two months off from game development, so that I could quickly write & publish a fun, sexy, and violent fantasy novel; one which I deemed to be a guaranteed seller. The intent behind this was two-fold: first, to follow my heart and write a story that I felt very passionate about expressing, and second, to establish a new revenue stream that could help support me as I continue work on the game.
When Plan Meets Reality
Instead, as so often happens when a carefully laid plan meets cold reality, everything took way longer than I expected. Plus, once the book was finally finished and launched (in paperback, e-book, and narrated audio), consumer response was not nearly as strong a I'd hoped it would be. And that led to spending even more time, effort, and money in attempts to spread the word about the book & get copies selling. (This included putting out 3 separate versions of the cover design before I landed on something both I and readers were happy with.)
Where I'm at Now
But finally, blessedly, all of that is done. The book seems to be in a good place now; the latest cover design is getting a positive response, and copies are moving. (Though by all means, if you haven't grabbed one yet, please do. And if you enjoy it, please leave an honest review.) So, I'm now able to turn my full attention back to game development projects. And that's good news for everyone who's waiting eagerly for DarkRPG.
A Word of Thanks
I want to express my gratitude to everyone for your patience during this period & also for your continuing support. I truly appreciate each and every one of you, and I'm grateful for your presence on this journey. Thank you.
