Version 0.15 status and some thoughts about the next game.

As I’m starting to wrap version 0.15, I find myself thinking more and more about Vae Victis - 2 (temporary name!) and there are two issues I’d like to consult with you guys about the next game’s design.
Should there be less girls but more content for each girl? In his travels, Karder meets many beautiful girls but most of them have only brief interactions with him and are never seen again. While this allows me to introduce a huge variety of races, body types and backstories, the overall experience can feel a bit unsatisfying to some of you. A frequent question I get almost since launch is “when can we see more of girl X?”. There’s a dilemma here: more girls = shorter interactions with each. Less girls = longer stories, more revisits and even palace stay for some.
The other issue is about content affecting decisions: should there be slightly more weight to decisions you make? In Vae Victis - Khan, very few decisions you make will give you a completely different outcome later on. A rare example is that if you abuse Alam or Fahda in the Ziruan oasis quest, you will not be able to revisit Fahda later. But in most cases, you will still be able to access all the content no matter how Karder behaved earlier. While this ensures that you will see almost all the content in one playthrough, it does somehow take the weight off some decisions and reduce the incentive to play again.
I’m going to make this a dual - poll, and therefore a multi choice. For your convenience, I will number them differently to make them easier to tell apart. 1 and 2 are about the number of girls, A and B are about the weight of choices.
If there is any other thing you’d like to see different in the next game, let me know in the comment.
As for update 0.15: I hope to have an ETA for release next week. I’m also talking to a new developer, so there might be some good news there too.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support!
Cheers!

I get what you're saying but the devil as they say, is in the details. When I do an interaction scene, I have to write a different variation for each Seduction/Dominance permutation and then render everything with Hairy/Non Hairy variants. As example, if you remember the last scene in the last interlude, with Queen Remy, Karder and Alyn? This scene has *six* variations: 1. Remy Seduction/Alyn Seduction 2. Remy Reluctance/Alyn Seduction 3. Remy Dominance/Alyn Seduction 1. Remy Seduction/Alyn Dominance 2. Remy Reluctance/Alyn Dominance 3. Remy Dominance/Alyn Dominance And that's before Hairy/Non hairy images and animations variants. Now I'm not going to claim I'm writing each permutation from scratch, I take one version and I change it based on the status of the girls, but I do try to add something different between each permutation (in the example above each permutations has at least one unique animation in it) so they will not feel complete copy/paste to those who play different routes. I get the appeal and I'm not saying I'll never do it, it is something that I may be doing in the future, but you should know that an interaction scene is much more time consuming than what you might initially think.

2025-09-30 16:35:18 +0000 UTCI'd specifically love to see interaction between the different girls, particularly after they end up at the palace and he's enjoying his conquests. They were competing monarchs - surely there are alliances, rivalries, jealousy and evolving friendships that could be exploited or enjoyed, making for some great dynamics and storylines. Karder seems like he'd rather enjoy having two enemy queens in his bed being forced to serve him together, please each other or compete for pecking order...

2025-09-30 15:05:12 +0000 UTCWhile I definitely wish to have deeper interactions with some of the love interests, the variety is fun since it portrays the "love 'em and leave 'em" side of the main character's nature. Perhaps a poll on which love interests we'd like to see more of would be in order if you opt for fewer love interests. As for the decisions mattering more to push us to replay, I am uninterested in that since I rarely replay games. If the decisions we make will align Karder's character more along the lines we'd to play him, I am all for that! Story enrichment for a deeper sense of agency versus frustrating dead ends that force me to replay will always be preferable for me.
