2019 Update, Tentative Release Schedule, and some Badass Art!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been around a whole lot lately. It's been a pretty crazy time for me and the fam. Lots of travel, which has been fun but also exhausting--it's also put me behind on my writing and production, but I'm hitting 2019 hard to try and make up for it. We spent Christmas with my family back in Colorado, then the wife and I went on a long overdue vacation to celebrate our 12 year wedding Anniversary (December 29th). We hit up Thailand first, which is where we lived for several years as International Aid workers, visiting with some old friends. Then we headed off to Bali for a fancy-pants writing conference where I got to hang out with some really amazing folks, including Shadow Alley's own Aaron Crash.

We also got to hang out with some of my authors buddies, including the amazingly-nice and talented Michael Chatfield (who I have a serious bromance with) and my bestie Dakota Krout and his crazy-talented wife Danielle Krout.

But we're back now--and, like I said, we're trying to kick things into overdrive. And speaking of, I'm sure a lot of folks are wondering just what's in store for this year. Well, I'm glad you asked, because boy is it going to be nuts. I'm finishing Doom Forge, Viridian Gate Online 6, and it should be out soon (the holidays really put me behind schedule), and War God 3, Underworld is almost done as well. eden and I are also furiously working on Rogue Dungeon 3, while the audiobook for Rogue Dungeon 2 (Civil War) is in the home stretch. Lazarus 6 will also be up on the chopping block (and sorry it's taken me soooo long to get to it).

On top of all that, I'm really happy to announce the VGO Expanded Universe is coming! Following the release of VGO 6 there are going to be a lot of books dropping, all of them in pretty quick order. We have a bunch of really talented writers working on this project--it is both ambitious and expansive. For the first round of VGO EU, we have three authors, all working on their own VGO trilogies. Some of these books feature characters you have seen before (though the story lines are all stand alone and unique) while others are entirely new. These books are NOT co-authored books, however. True, I've had a hand in each of the series--everything from character creation, outlining, and developmental editing--but these books are not mine. They are new entry points and new POVs into the awesome world of VGO from a bunch of awesome new authors.

As soon as Doom Forge drops, the books will come out two weeks apart for most of 2019. The first to release will be Nomad Soul: The Illusionist Book 1 by D.J. Bodden

If you had to choose between your life and your dreams, would you ever wake up?

Alan Campbell thought he’d gotten his dream job working on a revolutionary VRMMORPG with Osmark Technologies, until the project was canceled. He has one weekend to dive into an untested world full of intrigue, violence, and corruption to prove that Viridian Gate Online works, but the AIs running the game have their own plans for his soul.

Set a year before the events of “Cataclysm,” The Illusionist: Nomad Soul takes you back to when VGO was just a game, or so it seemed.

Following that is Firebrand: Book 1 of the Firebrand Series by J.D. Astra

New worlds get new kings, and that’s exactly what Abby thinks she’s found in her boss’ hacked code.

With a cataclysmic asteroid careening toward Earth, the VRMMORPG project, Viridian Gate Online, has become more than just a game, and Abby thinks her boss, Robert Osmark, wants to be more than just its founding father.

Now, Abby holds a hacked key to the kingdom that could earn her a punishment worse than death. To uncover the secret that drug lords and corrupt politicians paid millions for, Abby must dive into the game she helped create and team up with one of its AI creations. It’s a race against the clock as she tries to discover what’s hidden in the secret code before Osmark can crown himself ruler over all that remains of humanity.

And the third series ready to launch is Vindication: The Alchemic Weaponeer Book 1 by the crazy-talented N.H. Paxton.

A Russian Weapons Engineer thought that escaping into a VRMMO would free him from the chains of his past; but even in the virtual world, old grudges still burn true. He must use his intellect and unique skills to make a place for himself within the next 5 days, or be forcibly dragged back into the very life he fought so hard to escape.

And the best part of all is that you won't have to wait long for the books! Each book in each trilogy will release approximately five weeks apart until they are all out--so get ready for the flood gates to open. On top of that, Shadow Alley Press has some awesome new stuff coming, including a new Dungeon LitRPG trilogy--Dungeon Bringer--more American Dragons from Aaron Crash, and a new series from eden Hudson which is soooooo, sooooooo, sooooooo good. That's about it for now, but suffice it to say lots of good stuff is coming your way in 2019! As always, thank you all so much for supporting me. This truly wouldn't be possible without readers like you!
