I have a lot of love for that first panel. Duane and Sette spent this whole chapter apart, each engaged in their own nighttime miseries. It was nice to at least have them in shouting distance of each other again finally.

Look at how much detail is in each panel though! The pages this chapter have taken so long to do, it's insane. I think this one reads okay though.

But hey! I promised I'd record some audio Q&As so let's do one! Just leave a comment here or email me with any questions you'd like answered, or even anything you'd just like me to talk about, and I'll record that and post it up next week. You can ask anything but outright spoilers and I'll do my best to entertain :)

Have a good weekend!

What is the process to take the story in your mind to the a comic page? Are there story drafts and pages of dialogue or is it straight to comic page. What do you do on an average day? Berserk's Miura as an example is said to work 16 hours a day. Do you have a sick work(battle) station to work on? 3 Tablets, 4 displays and the like.

Sette's face at the top is just... wow. You can feel it, the confusion and disgust almost but not quite managing to drown out the fear.

Have you considered using the services of a book designer for the next set of books? You've really been working on using the webpages to help tell the story, the silver and red tendrils around the current panels are a great example. I was thinking more specifically about the series of Sette first arriving in the Khert, (Ch. 7_28) falling down through the bottom panel, then looking around in a series of single panels (with captions as the web address), which look and work fantastically on the web, but aren't really suited to a perfect bound book like the first two. In other words, maybe there can be a big special-edition hard cover with fold out pages, or whatever else a clever designer can think of, available for the next book?

Do you have a plan what chapters will be in the upcoming books? Looks to me like it will be one with Chapters 7&8 and then 9&10? I think the Nevergreen chapters shouldn't be split, what do you think?

Do you have any ideas on what the cover design for the third print book will be yet?

I'm curious actually, so here's something for the Q&A. What is your process for naming things in the world? The world you built has a lot of very awesome names for places, deities, people, etc. and many seem very closely tied to the cultures of the world. Whenever I try to write or world-build, names are some of the biggest challenges for me. Which makes me wonder how that goes for you when you are world-building. Is it just easy and natural? Or do you spend a lot of time at it?
