Though there was a cutaway to an interior office of the palace last chapter, this scene's really where I get to show the Crescian aesthetic. It wouldn't have been appropriate in Ethelmik since it was a poor bordertown (though there are hints here and there, like Vera's tentacle hat, some of the pymarics) but this is the capital itself. A gaudy, pastel, glowing, scintillating jewelbox of impossible shapes and weird contrasts. Cresce is rich in First Materials which means a lot of pymarics, a lot of permanent pymary enchanting the landscape and making it meaninglessly pretty.
Not sure the two-toes care terribly for it though.
