Matty and Sette are ready to write all that off as Duane's nightly lunacy but maybe it's because they aren't Crescian and haven't really felt Duane's hateful diatribe against the country these past weeks. If that was a portrait of their Queen that just got torched, or a Plat or Sharteshanian girl that just got decked, maybe they'd be a little more upset.
It's funny how Duane's bigotry has really made Jivi's own bigotry rear its head. We retreat to it when we're faced with it sometimes, I think. Jivi embraced Matty in spite of his nationality because it was easy. Matty's a sweetheart and Quigley openly despises Alderode. But faced with Duane's uncompromising attitude, Jivi's instinctively responded with the same.
Anyway, Sette is hating all of this.
