I like -parts- of Berserk, but the author made some decisions that really turned me off it. Still, it's not over yet, and there's always time to correct course before it's through.

For what it's worth, I and everyone I know who's bothered to *try* reading Unsounded (which I admit isn't a ton of people) considers it a masterpiece on the level of all the other greats. And these are people picky enough to not be all that into Game of Thrones or The Witcher. I just started reading Berserk, and I love it, but I can't say it's any better than Unsounded so far.

Truer words were ne'er spoken. The only reason I'm sorry I'm not at all well known on social media is that such a status would enable me to tell so many more people about what you are doing here. Eventually this epic of yours WILL be recognized and lauded for the work of great literary and artistic talent that it is. I hope it is sooner than later. If nothing else though, you'll be leaving something of real quality, integrity and substance (singing butts and all) as your mark on this world. So few of us can say the same.

Seriously, Ashley. You’ve been doing this for almost a decade at a level few of us could reach. In a just world, HBO or Netflix would have already announced an Unsounded series. (Maybe Bella Ramsey as Sette and Iain Glenn as Duane?)

That's your impostor syndrome speaking. No need to get rid of it... If you didn't have it, you wouldn't understand it, and your characters would be less believable. But if you ever find it's getting in your way, I hope you are able to think of yourself as one of your own characters, and realize that feelings of inadequacy have nothing to do with actual ability.
