All of Duane's affectations he developed to help him deal with a more privileged class of people just come off as a superiority complex to his fam.
Leave his nose alone though, Lem, we can't all have petite fey features and perfect hair and two swords.

I would think one's family would be enormously proud of the first in the family to get a degree. In my family it was just expected... There would have been trouble if we hadn't done it. (Not that it has helped me much professionally.)
