The mines are no longer operational since the Foi-Hellick began their rebellion but that doesn't mean it's been totally quiet down there...
Some friends came in from out of town over the weekend and we went to Busch Gardens yesterday. I snapped photos of a lot of cool lion sculptures, designs, and totems in the gift that will probably pop up in some form later in the comic. Coolest of all was the lions in the enclosure were eager to escape some rain and had themselves pressed right up against the glass so we stood there for a while oggling their coolness. I've been going to that park for almost forty years and never had the lions get so close! The rain may have kept the rides closed but it was still a pretty good day :3
