Everyone in the top panel is solemn, for good reason. But oh, poor little Will. Every line of his body, the tilt of his head, his small hand... all so eloquent. He needs comfort so badly, and he is being comforted by the religious ritual, but in a more adult way than he has ever experienced before. I feel he will remember this moment as a milestone. And that is a LOT of emotion to have packed into one small figure!
