His life was pretty amazing for around ten years after that, give or take some prickly in-laws and the death of his father.

2020-01-08 03:18:12 +0000 UTCBoth! Duane's first assignment in the army was guarding the Fachlynian perimeter and enforcing the quarantine. He and Jon performed so well there that they won a transfer out to the Company they are in this chapter. After this chapter, as is set up here, Duane was hired by the Temple of Song and again sent to Fachlyne on occasion. He was favoured for the task thanks to his past experience there. In Fachlyne, as a wright of the Lions of Mercy, he was there hunt out Black Tongues and enemies of the Temple who take advantage of that district's lawlessness to hide out and Do Evil. All this experience is Fachlyne will come in handy one day.
