Four pages today! I decided I didn't want a pause between 130 and 131; I wanted that sharp cut to Siya's drawing of him saying the words that seem to be causing him such distress.

But that's a wrap for chapter 14! What did you guys think? Was it too painful leaving the rest of the cast for so long? Was the story of the Foi-Hellick Affair and the Adeliers' place in it interesting? It will all have relevance to the chapters to come, and seeing these events that helped shape Lemuel is very important to understanding the man he is now - and the brother.

Next weekend I'll post a collection of concept art and ideas from this chapter. I'd been planning it for years, and the script went through many permutations. Some of the cut stuff is pretty awesome, and I'll curate the best of it for you.

Otherwise it was suggested on Tumblr that I take requests on here for character vignettes. I'll open those up to every Patron level, but I think they could be fun. If you ever wanted to see Duane or Sette or Quigley or whomever you like tell you their thoughts on a certain topic or person, this would be the time for it. I can't promise I can get them to be honest about everything, but you know they all love to talk :U

Thanks for sticking with me, guys :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Jimi, thanks for giving it a read! :)

This chapter was just plain wonderful. I had a very good time reading about Roger Foi-Hellick's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (and getting to know him and many other important characters better in the process). And I'm gonna be quoting that line for a long time to come. You know the one. The one you tangentially referenced in this batch with that panel of Lem's fellow guard realizing a storm was a'comin'.

Loved the whole chapter and wouldn't have been bothered by two more (or more) in the same flashbacky vein. In fact, I'm going to miss a lot of those characters. How are you so good at every aspect of storytelling?? I am in awe of you.
