Ech, what a drama my computer has been over the weekend. It started with skyrocketing CPU temps, which I at first attributed to dust. Gave the tower a good cleaning but that only seemed to make it worse. It was idling at 65C. Turns out the CPU fan was dead! So putting together this update was a lesson in terror with the case fans screaming in my ear as the temp climbed. I was in desperate need of a new computer anyway, so I have a new one coming at the end of this week. Hopefully it will be a sign of a bright new era. At least I'll be ready to play FFXVI. I also ordered a new heatsink and cooler to try and bully this one into working the rest of the week, but we'll see how that goes. I'm not entirely sure it's not a short in the motherboard as there's been some other weird behaviour.
Sick computers are traumatizing! It makes me uncomfortable beyond description when I can't work!
