South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999) FULL LENGTH REACTION W/CLARISS
Added 2023-06-30 05:18:35 +0000 UTCTime for us to finally check out the SOUTH PARK MOVIE released in 1999, here with Clariss!
IN THIS MOVIE
In this feature film based on the hit animated series, the third graders of South Park sneak into an R-rated film by ultra-vulgar Canadian television personalities Terrance (Matt Stone) and Phillip (Trey Parker), and emerge with expanded vocabularies that leave their parents and teachers scandalized. When outraged Americans try to censor the film, the controversy becomes a call to war with Canada, and Terrance and Phillip end up on death row -- with only the kids left to save them.
Comments
I was 14 when this movie aired. Perfect age to find it fantastic. Some thoughts: 1. The Canada thing was literally because Americans think Canadians are the nicest, least offensive people on the planet. So, that's why it's funny, lol. The song, "Blame Canada" was nominated for an academy award(!) and was performed (in a bit of a censored form, of course, and ironically) by Robin Williams(!). Do yourselves a favor and look at what Matt Stone and Trey Parker wore to the awards AND Robin Williams' performance. You won't regret it!! 2. Clariss, you were right to compare the "Tomorrow Night" number with Les Miserables, it was an intentional thing! 3. I had no clue who Brian Boitano was either, and I was pretty much the target audience for this movie. So, idk, I always thought it was just funny that they hero-ized a male Olympic ice skater and that's all I needed!
