Reporter April O'Neil (Paige Turco) purchases an ancient Japanese scepter that can cause those simultaneously holding it in different centuries to switch places in time. When she is transported to 16th-century Japan, her crime-fighting pals, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, pursue her. After landing in the past, the Turtles learn April has been captured by the villainous Lord Norinaga (Sab Shimono). To rescue her, they must team up with rebel leader Misu (Vivian Wu).

Yeah this time it was all about the turtles going back in time to ancient Japan to rescue April and getting involved in a revolution too. Also another movie you really need to do is SURF NINJAS!!!

2023-08-03 18:48:54 +0000 UTCA lot of people say this is the weakest TMNT movie out there, but I personally have fond memories of it. Maybe it's the same as with Batman and Robin - watching it on VHS a lot as a kid and enjoying the lighter humor. Despite its obvious failings (unoriginal soundtrack, worse turtle costumes and special effects failure with the villain's death), I still find this an enjoyable flick. Also, you should give the 2007 CGI animated TMNT film a chance as well. It's an underrated gem.
