A square yellow sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, in the city of Bikini Bottom on the floor of the Pacific Ocean. He works as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab. During his time off, SpongeBob has a knack for attracting trouble with his starfish best friend, Patrick. Arrogant octopus Squidward Tentacles, SpongeBob's neighbor, dislikes SpongeBob because of his childlike behavior.

Fun fact about "Just One Bite": The scene when Squidward sneaks to the Krusty Krab, there was a scene that was cut where he walks through the front door, knocking over what he thinks is just a bucket of water, but what is actually gas, and a robot hand drops a lit match causing a combustion to happen around Squidward, and then he finds the Patty Vault. This scene was cut because the episode aired on Oct. 5th 2001, not that long after 9/11, and the following January Nickelodeon decided to cut the scene as to not promote or even glorify extreme-like tactics for security.
