Since no one has said anything yet - A lot of the science is accurate, ofc there's many liberties as well; The formation of tornadoes is generally well-known, but there's still a lot more to learn about them. The tornadoes in this movie die a bit faster than tornadoes do irl, but they really can appear and disappear like ghosts! The twin tornadoes splitting apart and going in different directions wouldn't happen irl, more likely it would've stayed and moved around the main tornado as a satellite tornado. Also no storm chaser would ever be surprised by bad weather like during the rodeo scene, they're always on top of that. Also fun facts - El Reno, the location the 3rd act with the large tornado, is where the largest Tornado ever recorded in history formed back in 2013. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ssb7GdNDOFI The best doc on it ever. There are multiple real storm chasers that cameo throughout the movie, in fact, some of the footage in the credits is real footage from storm chasers just for this movie!
