One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) FULL LENGTH REACTION

Time to check out One Hundred and One Dalmatians released in 1961.

In a Disney animation classic, Dalmatian Pongo is tired of his bachelor-dog life. He spies lovely Perdita and maneuvers his master, Roger, into meeting Perdita's owner, Anita. The owners fall in love and marry, keeping Pongo and Perdita together too. After Perdita gives birth to a litter of 15 puppies, Anita's old school friend Cruella De Vil wants to buy them all. Roger declines her offer, so Cruella hires the criminal Badun brothers to steal them -- so she can have a fur coat.

The new Cruella movie is really well done and fun to watch! I recommend it!

So this was the first film to use the Xerox Process which saved a lot of time and money by printing the ink right onto the cells. It would be used from this film through at least The Rescuers. This was also the first animated Disney film to be set in “modern times”. The author of the book loved the film even more than what she wrote. This is one of the rare times I can actually recommend checking out the direct to video sequel to a classic. One Hundred and One Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure. The voice cast has some familiar Disney voices: -Cruella is played by Betty Lou Gerson was the narrator in the beginning of Cinderella, -Roger is played by Ben Wright who was Rama the Wolf in The Jungle Book and Grimsby in The Little Mermaid which was his last role and released after his death and also known to movie audiences as The nazi Herr Zeller in Sound of Music, -Jasper (the tall one) was played by J Pat O Malley who has played too many characters to list so here is just the Disney films you have heard him in: Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, and The Jungle Book, -Nanny was played by Martha Wentworth who was in The Sword in the Stone and her last role in Mary Poppins, -then there is Thurl Ravenscroft who I couldn’t begin to list every Disney role he did.
