Temple Within

I am always fascinated with how the Bible has parallels from the Old Testament and the New Testament. The temple in the OT was a physical place. The temple in the NT is our bodies! How amazing that after Jesus came and died in our place and overcame sin, He paved the way for us to be capable of holding God within us…..without His making the way, we would never be able to perform or perfect ourselves enough to host the LORD within us. But as soon as we say YES to Him, He makes His dwelling place within us.

How incredible that is! But, why do we ignore that? Maybe it sounds too good to be true. Maybe we keep thinking we aren’t good enough….which interestingly enough is all about our own ego….thinking we have to DO in order to be accepted.

And all we have to DO is accept! Baffling and bewildering, I know!, but we will never live the abundant life until we settle down and accept this.

Selah…..stop and think about that. Accept it today. Say, “YES, Lord. I don’t know exactly how, but I say YES to You.” Let Him do the rest!
