Decisions determine Direction and Direction determines Destiny.

I was listening to Pastor Craig Groeschel of Life Church and he was talking about predetermining our decisions.

That can make a big difference because each minor decision in life takes us in a direction. That direction leads to destiny.

Unfortunately, we don’t see the needle move much when we make one good decision and we don’t see the needle move much when we make one bad decision.

But we all know that over time all those little decisions lead to something either good or bad.

Maybe we have become too impatient or maybe we just can’t see the big picture. It is easier to do the easy thing, of course.

But, if we predecide what we will do in those times that decisions typically come up, we won’t toy with the options and we will have better decisions made.

The huge blessing of learning to sense the presence of God through practice, is getting that on-target gut reaction that tells us what to do in the moment.

But, the preparation is key. If we aren’t built up in our minds and spirits before the decision comes, we are likely to cave in yet again.

How do we build up our minds and spirits? Talk to God through the day. Little things, big things. Set aside even a little time to read verses that apply to your situation. That is what I do and it always builds me up.
