Good morning!
How I marvel at the way Jesus lived and taught his disciples! I am in Luke and just read about how Jesus and His disciples were not allowed to enter a city where the so-called “outcasts” of that time (the Samaritans) lived.
Jesus’ disciples wanted to call down fire from heaven to destroy these people but Jesus told them to watch out for their own hearts! He said “The Son of Man did not come to destroy life, but to bring life to the earth.” Luke 9:55 TPT
Jesus later used a good Samaritan as a metaphor/parable later to teach them about caring for a stranger.
Jesus always saw in the outcasts, a redemptive future. He had insider knowledge that the Father had the grace to change even the hardest hearts and those who have gone far off the path of life.
How much I am grateful for this! I have been that one with the hard heart and the one on a path that was not “life.” Where would I be without His grace?
No one is too far from His amazing love and touch. Even those who reject Him, He will continue to pursue with nothing but love. The opportunity is always there until you face Him one day. I’d suggest that you open the door to your heart now and receive the gift that keeps on giving!
