As another smile from God, the other day I had been reading a book and the author had had a dream and in it he had been ascending a mountain with God and got to the “Galatians 220 level.” I spent most of my morning reading all the different translations of this verse.

I will give me the adapted version here from The Message:

What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn’t work. So I quit being a “law man” so that I could be God’s man. Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that.

I thought and thought about that throughout the day. I want to live the Galatians 2:20 lifestyle!

Later that day, my friend sent me a YouTube video of a message. Well, you guessed it. The pastor spoke all about the Galatians 2:20 lifestyle. I had not said a word to anyone about my morning and when I heard this video, my jaw dropped open. Really, God?

It is no accident. When I find myself focusing more on God and listening for His Voice, I always hear him more. Maybe it’s the Reticular Activating System He built into our brains. But, these things that are so profoundly strong messages are blessings from above. To deny that would be foolish.

Lord, I pray that my ego would not be central and that I learn to live more and more with You pouring out of me in every single way!
