Light or Dark: Your Choice

“Your hearts can soar with joyful gratitude when you think of how God made you worthy to receive the glorious inheritance freely given to us by living in the light. He has rescued us completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom realm of His beloved Son. For in the Son all our sins are canceled and we have the release of redemption through His very blood.” Colossians 1:12-14 TPT
As I have been talking about the spiritual battle and how much we can and do walk in darkness sometimes, I can’t help but be blown away by this passage. He has rescued us completely.
Why don’t we act like it? Because we see what is in front of us…the “flesh and blood” of what our eyes see. Instead, if we pause and see with spiritual eyes, we can quickly identify the darkness that is lying to us and choose to say, nope, I am living in the light.
Please do NOT wait for your circumstances to change to live in the light. There will forevermore on this earth be opportunities for darkness to rule in your heart if you wait for it to leave on its own. You must let His light rule in your hearts by your own choice and by His power. That is it.
