Once Again

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. 1 Chronicles 16:7

A lot of things I’ve said many times in many ways over the years of writing. It is crazy to me that I still can once in a while get caught in the trap of thinking in old ways. Sometimes I question if I’m praying “right” and get discouraged because there are so many messages on prayer…..recommendations, do this or do that, or worse don’t do this and don’t do that.

So, then, sometimes I psych myself out and isn’t that just sneaky of Satan. Once again, performance issues rear their ugly heads. It’s beautiful, though, when I pause and say Jesus, I just don’t feel it. I don’t know what I’m supposed to say or do.

And, literally, I feel love. I envision His eyes twinkling at me, adoringly. “I just want to be with you.”

And, I snap out of it. Not because I got a prayer plan together. Not because I was diligent with checking off all the people on my prayer list. But because He looked at me with love and rescued me….once again.
