Good morning!
Our decisions define us. We have heard this many times most likely. Sometimes, though, we discount the little decisions. We think someday we will get enough of whatever it is we think we need to make a big decision that will change something. For example, losing weight is an area that many times we start and stop and give up because we are waiting for something that’s really going to motivate us.
Reality is that each seed we sow will bear fruit. We will reap a harvest for all those little seeds. The little seeds look like taking a 10 minute walk when you don’t have time to go to the gym…. rather than scrolling 10 more minutes on your lunch break.
The little seeds look like standing at the fast food counter deciding between a chicken salad and a double double and choosing the salad!
Making those little decisions add up over time and produce a harvest.
Awareness of those little seeds and what kind of crop they will produce is a first step. Then, planting those seeds even though you don’t see the results yet requires faith.
I see this especially playing out in my thought life. Am I sowing pessimism or optimism? Am I reaping peace or turmoil? What seeds am I planting?
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
