Aim

I wonder what most people are aiming for in life….or if they’re aiming at all. I know my aim can get off the mark. The way my aim gets corrected is by spending time in God’s Word. It definitely resets me every time…..especially the Proverbs.
“Go ahead and make all the plans you want, but it’s the Lord who will ultimately direct your steps. We are all in love with our own opinions, convinced they’re correct. But the Lord is in the midst of us, testing and probing our every motive.” Proverbs 16:1-2 TPT
Oh boy! Motives are a big deal. I am always asking God to test my motives because it is so easy for the world to tell us what is important….money, influence, security for the future, and on. But, when our motives are right, then our aim is set correctly.
I am so glad that God doesn’t make us figure this out alone. He is so good at testing and probing (even when I don’t like it!) because it only leads to better steps!

2022-12-14 21:11:11 +0000 UTCWe live in a world of ready, fire, aim. Meaning we shoot off and do something and then afterwards we try to aim the shot, or Monday morning quarterback. Or we get into the bad habit of aim, aim, aim and never pull the trigger. But when we let the Lord lead us, get us ready, aim us and go in His path and direction we will always hit the target. Thanks Sis for aiming us in the right direction!
