Encounter Godβs Heart...
Move in Love
How different would your life be if the inner movement of your heart was always to reach out in love to others? How might your relationships change? How might your own perspective shift? Paul encouraged those in the Roman church to check the attitude of their hearts, being sure to align them in the light of Godβs love.
Love moves in courage, without expectation of a return. It chooses to extend compassion and the benefit of the doubt, while also leaving room for accountability. Love does not put on a show or pretend to be something that it is not. Fill up on the love of Christ, and you will have an overflowing fountain of love to offer others. When you run dry, run to the one who fills your cup.
Loving Lord, I want to be a living reflection of your compassion. I want to choose your ways over my own, and I know that means letting down my self-protective mask. I know that there is wisdom in your love, and I choose to follow your path of mercy.
From "Wrapped in Christ" written by Brian Simmons
Romans 12:9
The Passion Translation
Let the inner movement of your heart always be to love one another, and never play the role of an actor wearing a mask. Despise evil and embrace everything that is good and virtuous.
