Some phrases out of the Bible jumped out at me as I sat in church one day:
He grew strong in his faith AS he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what He had promised. (emphasis mine) Romans 4:20b-21
I am always interested in growing in my faith and I noticed that giving glory to God grew Abraham’s faith. How often do I give glory to God? I definitely want to do it more!
Secondly, am I FULLY convinced that God is able to do what He has promised. Truth is, I might think I believe it but the proof is in whether I act like it. So, I am working on being aware of what I say and think and whether it lines up with what God says. As I think, so I become. Therefore, my thoughts will lead to my emotions and actions.
God is so good to keep rewiring our minds when we choose to pay attention to our thoughts! I am fully convinced that God is able to do all that He promised. Now, let me act like it!
